Asia reloaded: airoli does it again!

More so than during my past visits, I noticed how bland and worn TPE airport looks, or at least the areas that I had seen on my trecks between the Cathay gates and the airline’s lounge. One I reached it however, I entered a different world made out of the same visually appealing materials as the Pier in HKG. I was directed to the First Class section of the lounge, which was calm and serene as I was the only guest. I was neither hungry nor thirsty, so I forewent the decent food selection (although the noodle bar in the Business Class section looks more appealing methinks) and just had a cup of tea while perusing the large magazine and newspaper selection on offer. A boarding announcement was eventually made, and I strolled back to the gate.
