Epilogue

Pheew! This most certainly wasn’t only a heck of a trip, but also a heck of a trip report. I’ve started this text in June and am finishing it the day before Christmas… but then again, whenever I sat down to continue writing, all these wonderful memories came back and I just had to nail them down before they’d flee my mind for good. The result might be far to detailed and probably quite boring for most tastes, and I’d like to apologize for that. Nevertheless, I hope that some sections might have appealed to you.

As stated in the introduction to this report, I really had a blast on this trip. I am thankful for the opportunity to go on such a holiday and am very much looking forward to doing something similar again. As it looks right now, I might “do” Asia on CX one last time in March 06, just before the Swiss Travel Club program and thus the possibility for such mega awards disappears. And while Swiss one more time failed to impress me with their inflight product, their FFP continues to make me very, very happy. Merci!

Cathay Pacific was as heavenly as ever, Hong Kong’s airline has once again wowed me both on the ground (the Wing, the Wing!) and in the air. “Cathay Delight” will remain a fond memory of mine, and not just as a fruity drink!

Finally, both Kuala Lumpur and the World Fair in Aichi were mesmerizing and memorable experiences that continue to lure me back into their respective countries – it will only be a matter of time before yours truly will return to Malaysia and Japan. Thank you again mjm for helping me find my way around the latter!

And thank you, dear reader, for your time - I appreciate you spending it reading my electronic travel diary. If you would like to leave comments or questions, you can use the guestbook on the next page – I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for reading, and make sure to watch this space: “All good things – airoli’s third Asian adventure” could be in the making soon!
